The Santa Lucia Ranger District (SLRD) Off-Highway Vehicle Plan was completed in 1974 by District Ranger W.R. Griffin. This SLRD OHV Plan was developed with extensive input from the Central Coast Trail Riders Association (CCTRA) . The SLRD plan was incorporated into the 1976 Forest-wide Off-Highway Vehicle Management Plan.

This is an interactive Idaho Trails Map. Poker Flat OHV Trail I rode the trail 2 weeks ago on my Husky 610. I hit the trail just outside of LaPorte and headed to Howland Flat. From there I took the trail to the right and headed up a fairly rocky trail to the top of the ridge. From there you descend a steep, rocky, rutted out section.

Rowher Flat OHV area is located approximately 10 miles north of the town of Newhall, CA. Take the Antelope Valley Freeway (Hwy. 14) and exit at Sand Canyon. Go north on Sand Canyon to Sierra Highway and turn right. Take Sierra Highway approximately five miles to Rush Canyon access Road. Expect to spend 3-4 hours on Poker Flat, before the route returns to the much tamer fire roads and forest service roads along the route. Poker Flat OHV trail is a more difficult 2 mile trail. From the trailhead follow the trail for 0.6 miles tot a "Y" in the road. Continue straight and start descending for 0.5 miles to the town site of Poker Flat.
